How to answer “how much for knotless?” without losing the client
The reply that turns a price question into a booking.

It’s the most common DM a braider gets, and the one most likely to end in silence. A bare number invites comparison shopping. A paragraph of conditions feels like work. Here’s a reply pattern that converts.
1. Answer the question, with a real number
“Medium knotless to mid-back is $260, hair included.” Clients ask “how much” because they want a number. Give one, then add context.
2. Ask one question that moves things forward
“What length are you thinking?” or “Do you have a date in mind?” One question, not five.
3. Show the plan
Spell out what’s included: size, length, hair, time, deposit, what to bring. When the client sees everything up front, there are no surprises in the chair.
4. Offer two times
“I have Saturday at 9 or Tuesday at 10.” Two real options beat “when are you free?”
5. Hold it with a deposit
A deposit link makes the booking real and protects your day.
