Why we only count bookings we can find in Square

Smaller true numbers beat bigger guesses. Here’s how we count.

The owner after closing, sitting at the front desk with her shoes off, reading her phone, relaxed. Lamps on, salon empty.

Marketing tools love big numbers: impressions, reach, “engagement.” Most of them can’t tell you how many clients actually booked. We decided SalonSquad would only report numbers we can prove.

How we count

  1. A client talks to your squad: a DM, a call, a rebook text, a waitlist offer.
  2. She books within 14 days.
  3. We find that booking in your Square account and match it to the conversation.
  4. It appears in your recap with its Square ID, and you can remove it if you disagree.

What we label as estimates

Post views and reach come from the platforms and can’t be verified the same way, so they’re always labeled “estimated.” Revenue never is.

If it’s not in Square, it doesn’t count.

The same rule powers the Circle: salons share results straight from their connected data, so you can trust what you read.
